How to Avoid Hiring the Wrong Person

 

Ever hired the wrong person? I've made plenty of bad hires over the years. Many times we simply rushed through the decision process to get a position filled rather than taking time and working through a well thought out hiring plan.

After learning from our mistakes, we created an extensive hiring process where we spend multiples interviews and meetings getting to know the candidate. “We want to decide not only what’s best for our business but also what’s best for the candidate,” says Heather McCoskey, Director of Client Services. Now that Fulling Management & Accounting has a solid hiring process in place, it’s made a big difference in our employee retention and satisfaction along with saving significant cost and resources.
