How to serve by saying “no”
Early on, we made the decision NOT to do tax work. Although many companies like ours do tax work, we noticed that during the tax season, clients were not getting called back. In fact, many business owners we spoke with mentioned that this was a major complaint they had with their former CPA groups.
So, we very intentionally decided to say “no” to what could have been another lucrative part of our business. For us, it just didn't align and was in conflict with our ability to take care of our clients.
Ultimately, it was the right decision, and it has allowed us to double down on the areas we excel in, thereby giving our clients the better service and attention they need from us.
