The Fulling team just finished a new video together during recent staff meetings, A Legacy of Leadership - Dan Owolabi.

“Oftentimes when we think about legacy, we think about success. We think about financial success or relational success. Some sort of success that we're able to pass on to the next generation, something that'll live beyond us. But what if legacy starts with sacrifice not success? Join Dan Owolabi as he explores legacy through a unique lens. Walk away with key principles and next steps, that will inspire you to leave a lasting leadership legacy far beyond your current horizon.”

  •  Dan talked about how we all want our hard work to matter. We want to be remembered for it.

  • He asked if we’re asking the right question when we think about the legacy we leave. He encouraged us to ask ourselves “WHO is my legacy?” not “What is my legacy?”

  • Dan shared how one acorn produces hundreds of oak trees.  He shared how we can believe in & show up for others that have been put in our lives.  “You see oak trees when others see acorns.”

  • He challenged us to be a legacy of someone that doesn’t quit even when some people may quit on you.

  • We talked in our groups about people in our lives that have shown up for us including youth pastors, family members, etc.  We also talked about the potential we see in our kiddos and what we hope for them for the future.

Conversation Questions and Food For Thought:

  1. What comes to your mind when you think of legacy?

  2. Who are people in our life who have shown up for you?

  3. How can you show up for people in your life?
