How to Lead with Radical Candor - Kim Scott
The Fulling team just finished a new video together during recent staff meetings, How to Lead with Radical Candor - Kim Scott.
Kim Scott shared how it’s important to care personally about people and also challenge them directly. When you do both of these things, you get Radical Candor.
Some shared how they may struggle with Ruinous Empathy but are growing in this area as they get older, wiser, and gain more experience. We want to make sure we present the criticism or feedback in a positive way with the intent that we care about the individual enough to let them know and help them grow.
We are not showing we care if we don’t say anything or provide ways for improvement when they are necessary. Some mentioned being on the receiving end of that and finding out when it’s too late to turn things around. That is frustrating for the recipient.
