We’re a fully remote team - here’s why we meet in person each year

Our team has been fully remote since 2020, and while we've found ways to thrive in a virtual environment, we still take time to get together each year.

The theme this year is “Exponential Impact.”

I sometimes get asked why we invest the time and resources into these gatherings. After all, it's an investment of time and money, and it’s no small feat to coordinate everyone's schedules and travel.

So, why do it?

Here is the value I’ve seen from our team off-sites:

👋 Strengthened Relationships:
We’ve worked hard to create a strong remote culture, but there’s nothing like being in the same room together. This in-person time is foundational to strengthening our relationships.

🔁 Alignment and Recommitment to our Mission and Values:
We take time to reconnect with our core purpose, ensuring everyone understands and is inspired by why we do what we do.

🧭️ Casting Vision for the Future:
We look ahead and define and discuss our future goals, aligning our efforts and excitement for what's to come.

🪴 Learning and Growing Together:
We invest in shared experiences that challenge us to think differently and push our capabilities forward.

🎉 Celebrating Achievements:
Our team loves to celebrate! We take time to recognize successes from the past year, celebrating wins across the organization.

While we've worked hard to build a strong remote culture, there's an undeniable energy when we're all in the same room.
